About Us

At Individual Eyes Optometry, we're more than just an independent optometrist - we're a local family-owned husband-and-wife team. Your eyes are our passion. We’re dedicated to detecting any issues that may affect your vision as early as possible, so we can provide tailored solutions to address your unique needs. Whether through prescription lenses, medications, or a referral to the right specialist, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Trust, honesty, and integrity are the cornerstones of our practice. Through ongoing professional development, we ensure we stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in eye care, striving to deliver the highest standard of care possible. We combine our technical expertise with cutting-edge technology. We have invested in the latest diagnostic technology and offer world leading spectacle lenses and contact lens designs. As a local independent practice, we take pride in offering a curated selection of quality, bespoke eyewear you won’t find in every optometrist’s office. Our team is trained to understand your unique style and prescription needs, ensuring you get the perfect look and fit.

Independent Care, Individualised Solutions

Independence allows us to put our patients first. Unlike large corporate chains, we are not limited to a single supplier, product range, or one-size-fits-all approach. This means we can take the time to understand your individual vision needs and recommend solutions that are genuinely in your best interests.

Being independent gives us the freedom to offer a carefully curated selection of quality frames, lenses, and contact lens options from trusted manufacturers around the world. We can tailor our recommendations based on your lifestyle, prescription, budget, and personal preferences rather than being restricted to specific brands.

We also believe that exceptional eye care starts with building long-term relationships. As a local family-owned practice, we're proud to provide personalised service, continuity of care, and a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and supported.

By combining advanced diagnostic technology with independent clinical judgement, we can focus on what matters most—helping you achieve clear vision and maintaining your long-term eye health.

Our Commitment To You

As a husband & wife team running an independent, locally owned practice, we’re proud to offer truly personalised eye care. Because we’re not tied to any one supplier, we have the freedom to choose from the very best in lens technology, diagnostic tools, and dry eye treatments — all carefully selected to meet your individual needs.

Being independent also means we can focus on what really matters: you. We take the time to get to know our patients, thoroughly examining each person’s eyes so we can recommend the most suitable lens designs, treatment options, and styles — always with your lifestyle and budget in mind. You only have one set of eyes, and we believe they deserve nothing less than exceptional care.

We’re proud to call the Sunshine Coast home — not just as optometrists, but as part of the community ourselves. Our centrally located practice on Wises Road makes it easy for us to welcome patients from Kawana, Mooloolaba, Buderim, Mudjimba and beyond. We love living and working in this beautiful area, and we’re truly grateful for the opportunity to support our local community.

We’re more than just your optometrists — we’re your neighbours. A husband-and-wife team dedicated to providing the kind of personalised, honest care you can trust.

Right here in the heart of Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.

Our Vision

We believe that Optometry is the business of Eyecare, and that means looking after you!  We deliver the highest standard of care, in a relaxed family environment.  Enjoy our complimentary cups of Tea & Coffee while your loved one is examined by one of our exceptional Optometrists or assisted by our Optical dispensers.

Our team is clinically focused and driven to deliver individual solutions to every patient’s eye problem.  We treat your conditions with considered recommendations, whether this be by prescription of lenses, medications or referral to the most appropriate eye surgeon. When glasses required, we provide you with an Individualized vision solution, in a frame that suits your Individual style, face shape and prescription.  We offer all available options to our patients, so that they may make an informed decision on what will best suit their individual needs. When price is a barrier to optimal care, we will offer cheaper alternatives and advise patients of the compromises that will occur.

Our Culture

Our Optometrists are driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence. We achieve this by prioritizing technical prowess, combined with superior product and service quality. We are passionate about achieving results and creating value.  We set high standards for ourselves and our teams. We are proactive, determined, and always strive to exceed expectations. We continuously perform professional development, so that we can provide our patients with latest innovations and highest standard of care.

Our values — trust, integrity, and quality — influence every decision we make. They keep us focused on delivering outstanding results while ensuring we remain flexible and adaptive to the evolving needs of our patients and the wider community. We’re committed to enhancing your quality of life through individualized solutions.

Our Technology

At Individual Eyes Optometry, rather than purchasing cheaper screening devices, we have invested in medical grade equipment to diagnose and monitor your conditions, ensuring increased repeatability and surety in the results of your testing.  These meticulous measurements aid us in the decision-making process regarding the management of conditions such as Dry Eye Disease, Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration and much more.

Our Team of Experts

Eye examinations are performed solely by our optometrists not an assembly line of helpers.  We pride ourselves on our use of technology.

Each comprehensive test includes laser scanning OCT screenings, and digital imaging is used to document all eye changes and conditions in our patients’ records.

We also use the feather-light iTouch tonometry (eye pressure measurement), so you don’t need to get a blast of air in your eyes. This continuity of care ensures subtle eye problems don’t get overlooked.
