Thorough Vision and Eye Health Checks
Our comprehensive eye examinations go beyond a simple vision check. Each eye test is performed by our experienced optometrists — Wayne Derrick and Laura Anders — using advanced technology including laser scanning OCT and digital imaging to document and monitor all eye changes. We also use the feather-light iTouch tonometry, eliminating the uncomfortable air puff while measuring eye pressure.
Ophthalmic medicals required by CASA
Our optometrist, Wayne Derrick, is credentialed to provide the ophthalmic medicals required by CASA, for our aviation professionals. Please remember, if you wear glasses, you are required to bring both your main glasses, as well as your standby pair, to the assessment. You will be required to have dilating drops instilled during the examination, which can cause glare sensitivity and blurry vision. We advise that you bring someone with you to drive you home after your examination.
